What Floor Joist is Right for You?

Floor Trusses are one of the most important aspects of modern homes today allowing for large open concept layouts while offering exceptional structural support and simple installation. Here at Superior we offer a variety of traditional as well as modern alternatives to floor trusses for any design project.

LP I-Joist

Your standard floor truss system made with two flanges and a mid section of engineered oriented strand board for extra support and keeps the truss very straight with very little flex.

LVL Engineered Trusses

LVL is an engineered wood product consisting of multiple thin layers of wood or veneers laminated together with exterior grade adhesives. It is straighter, stronger and more uniform then most other lumber products.

Metal Webbed Trusses

Metal Webbed Trusses are a new innovation in floor trusses that offer exceptional support along with some major advantages in the installation of other systems like duct work, networking and electrical throughout your home due to the large amount of space in between the metal webs. No need to cut into any more OSB to run wires or duct work!

Wood Web Trusses

Another modern alternative to I-joists; Wood Web Trusses are made using 2x4 flanges along with a 2x4 webbing in the middle which offers exceptional strength and once again allows the installation of other systems such as duct work and electrical easy and quick. No cutting, No Holes just pass everything right through. And with its exceptional strength wood web flooring can be used in large open spaces and create amazing open concept layouts.
